 The
Mississippi Innovation Index establishes a process of annual performance measurement to focus attention and provide feedback about how well the state, as a whole, is doing in key areas of innovation-related activity. Annual statewide data are used to calculate performance levels for eight broad Innovation Goals and report annual data for detailed indicators of activity in the technology life cycle. Graphs and data tables can be downloaded for use in presentations and analyses. Information about the computations, data sources and links to website databases is provided for your reference.An extensive consensus building process involving representatives from universities, community colleges, economic development organizations and the private sector led to identification of indicators that could be used to measure progress. Together, the Innovation Goals and the Innovation Indicators provide a source of valuable information and strategic direction for Mississippi. |
